As a food reviewer for Foodjoyy, I couldn't help but be captivated by the diverse culinary selections Elan Bistro has to offer. From the delicately crafted French croissants that embody the essence of classic French pastry to the rich and hearty chicken parmigiana, the dishes here reflect a dedication to authenticity and quality. The croissants, in particular, are light and airy, boasting a flaky exterior that truly melts in your mouth, and they serve as the perfect accompaniment to any meal.

“ Thank you for making the perfectly sweet pastries! Growing up outside the us , your pastries reminded me of home ! Thank you for that the halal food as well. The place is really cute and the customer service is amazing . I will be coming very often. ”
“ A friend had recommended the shop which is 20 miles too far for a happen to pass by type of visit. I happened to be in the area and so I made it a point to visit. I happen to get there right before closing to find only two people ahead of me. This gave me ample time to look around and select what I wanted. Staff greeted me while helping the customer before me, which was great as he answered questions while packing their orders. I went for their recommended pastires and a matcha bubble tea. I was super surprised to find that my pastries were not overly sugary. The flavors also felt freshly made as in without preservatives like a twinke would taste. My matcha bubble tea was also pretty good. Not overly sugar compared to starbucks and no chalky flavor as with matcha that usually has sugar built in. The bubbles or tapioca was a bit softer than Id like, but thats a personal preference. All in all, we enjoyed everything I took away and would definitely make it a point to get there earlier to try out their other offerings. Few things to know before you go... the shop closes early so know the hours before you go. The kitchen may be closed if you arrive at least 20 min before closing, so no hot food options will be available. If you want to be in and out, check out their menu ahead of time to save yourself time ordering or order ahead online. Parking is metered street parking in Newark during the weekdays. Might be a walk before you find parking because the shop is very close to Rutgers college campus and main st shops. Also the shop entrance is on a oneway street thats usually pretty packed. If you see a spot on the oneway, it is best to take it as it will be gone before you circle back. If you found this review or pictures helpful or you enjoy clicking on things.. Id appreciate the feedback if you gave it a like. Cheers ”
“ This place is amazing minipizzas original sauces are definitely worth the trip. Employees were super friendly foods great. ”
“ Had Brunch today at Elan Cafe with my team. Everything was great, the space is very open filled with light on every angle. The walls are covered with positive messages and bright colors. The menu is Fully Halal which makes it a great spot to take your friends and family for a small meal. The coffee selections are great, personally try the Turkish Delight has a rich coffee taste with a hint of sweetness. Try out the Burgers and Bubble tea as well. The Elan Special Burger had a sweet and spicy taste. The Nashville Burger is perfect for a spice lover. Desserts are awesome top choice the Chocolate Mousse Cake. Service overall was awesome special shout out to Nishad, Tanna, Christina the girls at the front, Ariha, Gabi and Kay, were super friendly, courteous, and took care of our orders in an efficient manner. Overall Great Experience! ”
“ New spot a block off Broad Street, walking distance from Robert Treat Hotel. Great staff, lots of pastriescakescookies and different coffees, plus breakfast and lunch options. Parking is a little limited due to permit only area and several no parking zones ”
“ Classic diner food pastries with a halal twist. Delicious omelette scarfed that down and a perfect salted caramel adffogato. Staff was kind, efficient, and kept the place looking pristine. Will probably grab a sausage roll before I leave! WiFi was good, with plenty of tables outlets to work from. ”
“ Its always good here. Food tastes fresh, teas made on the spot if you like bubble teas. Plenty of options for milk and sweeteners etc. Sweet treats and real food not just a bakery. Great spot in Newark and worth a few lunch visits. Food is certified Halal so grab whatever you want. Good spot. ”
“ Went with few friends for lunch, the food was delicious and the customer service was phenomenal. The food came out within minutes and the employees were super nice. I highly recommend the Elan specialty burger and the Nashville chicken sandwich. As for the desert the chocolate mouse cake was my favorite. As for the drink the Mango boba was my favorite.
